I hope this post finds everyone safe and full of turkey!  This Zentangle is made with just a few patterns.  You can’t believe the self-control it took not to add just one more here or one more there.  I just love all those crazy little things.  I cut out a bunch of 3.5 x 3.5 paper to draw these on and I have no idea what to do with them all.  I think they would make some pretty cool coasters if I could figure out how to waterproof them. I would laminate them, but I don’t think that the lamination would keep the water out after a couple of uses.

 Alana’s crayons were staring at me, so I thought I’d color for a little while. 

  This is supposed to be a carnation (ish).  After all these years, there is still something about a coloring book and crayons that are relaxing and is still as fun as when I was little.

     This is a necklace that I made for my niece.  I’m not worried that she’ll see this post, because her auntie’s blog isn’t cool like texting, Facebook, My Space, You Tube or whatever the heck teens do these days. 

    The necklace is beaded with hot pink tube beads and the larger seed beads in clear, white, hot pink and red.  The ornament in the center is the same seed beads coiled around both strands with scrolled ends.  The findings are just 2 jump rings and a sterling lobster clasp.  I hope she likes it. 

P.S.  Does anyone know the temperature and how long to bake  Shrinky Dink? I lost my instructions:(

Old Barn Front

This is another project that I worked on  between the AEDM challenge.  This drawing was more difficult than what I’m use to. I don’t have much experience with perspective drawing and I  find the that roof was hard to draw.  I wanted to throw this away a zillion times, but I kept at and managed to get it done.  I’m glad I stayed with it, because I think it looks pretty good;)  This drawing has a lot of new elements that I have been dabbling in to like the bushes, sky, shingles and a little metal at the top.  I hope everyone has a very creative day!

P.S. Yes, my image is crooked…UGH!  I don’t think I would make a good photographer, would I?

I have a problem with my dog’s nails.  Even when they are clipped and rounded off they are pretty sharp.  I’m afraid that he will poke a hole in my car seats or my leather couch.  I just cringe every time I hear his nails scratching when he moves around. 

The shoes on the internet are cute but I don’t think he would keep them on his feet.   I think they are designed for maximum cuteness, but not much else.  These booties are designed for maximum your paws ain’t gettin’ outta these…

The booties are like sacks that are rounded at the bottom,  they velcro around the top of his foot so he’s not binded enough to be really uncomfortable and the velcro keeps the booties on his feet. 

They are also so very ugly! But don’t worry, he won’t have to wear them in front of the other doggies…

 I don’t know what the heck this is….It started out to be a zentangle and ended up being some kind of  hippy chick flower power thingamagig.  I think it’s pretty cute even though it’s a little cartoony.  This was about all I have time for today.  This creative everyday is a lot of fun, but I’ve been letting a lot of chores slide.  I’m fine with not doing the house work, but we do like to eat so I guess I have at least go to the grocery store.   I hate shopping for groceries!

I thought I’d do a little beading for AEDM.  The tree of life, star fish, key and some findings were a present from my friend.  The hook is a bookmark.   My favorite pair is the purple stone set and they will go right into my jewelry box after this post.

I made these eggrolls last night and  they do look kinda strange so I thought that they would be a good contribution to AEDM this morning.  They are a lot of fun to make (believe it or not) but they were a lot more fun to eat!  Below is my recipe.  I make these with ground beef, but you can substitute with turkey, chicken or pork. 

1 head cabbage shredded

1/2small bag shredded carrots

1 lb. or so cooked ground beef (crumbled fine)

1 can of bean sprouts or (fresh)

soy salt to taste

1 bottle of PEANUT OIL (for deep-frying the eggrolls)

Mix all ingredients together (except for the oil and soy sauce) in a large pot.  When ingredients are somewhat tender add soy sauce to taste. When the veggies are fully cooked,  drain ingredients in a colander to get rid of the excess water, but don’t press down on the filling. (It will burst the bean sprouts).  Fold eggrolls per instructions on the pack  and then deep fry in the peanut oil.  Peanut oil will not get as hot as vegetable oil and keep that golden brown appearance until your last eggroll. ENJOY!

   This Zentangle was supposed to look like fabric, but most of the spaces look  like stripped clam shells.  I didn’t like it at first, but I kinda do now, so I decided that this is AEDM for today. 

   This past weekend was our annual shopping trip.  My mom, sisters, aunt, cousin and  I go every year.  I didn’t get to go last year so it was extra fun for me.  Our trips consists of hitting the malls all day and after we are done shopping we treat ourselves to a big steak dinner.  Then we go back to the room to digest, then wake up and do it again.  I’m sore from all the walking and my feet hurt but I was very productive and managed to finish my Christmas shopping  and extra early too.  Yay ME!
